I'm so glad I ordered the table pads like the ones I grew up with. I called blindly after finding the site online, something I'm usually wary about doing. Marty was lovely, professional, and accommodating. It was comforting and so easy to have him guide me through the process, including measurements and recommended colors and textures. The pads will protect my table and are a perfect fit. You don't even notice they're there. I've used other protective liners like felt and plastic, but nothing is as unobtrusive, streamlined, and effective as this. I'm telling all my friends to use Marty and this company. No one but Marty at LA Table Pad could have handled my order. It's finally complete and the pads look and work the way I expected. Want more details? I have an unusual table that has three sizes. It goes from 48"X48" to 48"X70" to 70"X70". I needed two pads of one size, one of another size, and a third one that was long and skinny - with the long end being 70 inches. In addition, the oh-so-handy magnets that keep the pads from sliding around had to be perfectly matched not just side by side, but on the top of the three smaller table pads so they would match up with the longest skinny table pad. Communicating this to the manufacturer was an ongoing job, not by me, the customer, but by Marty - who understood exactly what was needed. Marty made multiple contacts with the manufacturer to have them double check the unusual measurements and magnet placements after the manufacturer first sent me beautiful pads whose magnets did not match up. The "re-do" of my table pads fit the various lengths of my table exactly, and the magnets line up exactly. Those magnets are a must for my smaller size pads, whose small size would allow the pads to slide all over the place without those essential magnets that hold them together. Marty was professional when he came in person to carefully measure my table (some tables vary by fractions of an inch from their stated size) and help me choose the color/pattern of the pads. The initial order takes a bit of time to process (don't expect to order table pads and have them arrive in a few days if you want quality table pads). The final product is attractive enough that when I hadn't yet put a tablecloth on the table, my friend thought the pads (they have a woodgrain pattern) were the table top. Bottom line: I'm very happy with the service and very pleased with these table pads.
